All 3D models, drawings, CAD files, design sketches, digital assets, or any other materials (“Customer Files”) submitted to 3D Printing Durban remain the intellectual property of the customer. Submission of files does not transfer any ownership or copyright to 3D Printing Durban, except where explicitly agreed in writing.
3D Printing Durban agrees to treat all Customer Files and related project details as strictly confidential. We will not: Share, reproduce, modify, or distribute Customer Files for any purpose other than manufacturing or quoting the requested items. Publish customer designs without written consent. Use customer files for any other customer or internal product line. All staff and contractors involved in production are bound by the same confidentiality obligations.
Only authorized 3D Printing Durban staff involved in production or quoting will have access to the Customer Files. All files are stored on secured local or cloud systems with restricted access to ensure confidentiality and prevent misuse.
Customer Files may be securely stored for up to 12 months for repeat orders. Upon written request, 3D Printing Durban will permanently delete all associated files from our systems. Regular data purges may also be performed to protect customer confidentiality.
Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that: Was already publicly available at the time of disclosure; Becomes publicly available through no fault of 3D Printing Durban; or Is required to be disclosed by law, regulation, or court order.
Customers must ensure they have the legal right to reproduce or request manufacturing of the submitted design. 3D Printing Durban is not liable for infringement issues if a submitted file violates another party’s intellectual property rights.
By submitting files or placing an order with 3D Printing Durban, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this confidentiality and non-disclosure policy.
